Normally on Saturday I have the same routine, I am at the gym by 8:00am, at the park by 11:00am to let my 2 dogs run around and play, and then off to Starbucks to work on my business for a few hours.
This past Saturday I decided to switch up my routine. I decided I needed to do something different and be around some innovative people striving for new opportunities. So as it goes, I was up at 6am and on the road to Columbia, SC for a conference full of Mortgage Brokers, Financial Planners, and Real Estate Investors.
I discovered this opportunity on a Sunday Afternoon when I went to a Building Expo with my girlfriend. We are both interested in New Homes and are building our future home currently, so we thought we would check it out instead of sitting home on our Rear Ends doing nothing.
We were about half way thorugh the show when I stumbled upon a booth that seemed out of place for Building Materials. I figured it was time to investigate a little bit and see what this booth was all about. It happened to be a brand new financial company that is growing like wild fire across the world.
They have taken an old paradigm of thinking and turned it into a New Innovative way to generate revenue for yourself and your business. The best part about it you are able to build your own team of producers. These producers can be a network of Financial Planners, Real Estate Investors, other Mortgage Brokers, and even your Past Borrowers!
Let me bring it back to the importance of Networking. After the Building Expo I called up my new network buddy, Christian and scheduled a time to visit. He was in my office this past Thursday showing me the inner workings of my New Cash Cow! As the conversation continued he asked me if I would like to go to a One Day Conference about an hour and half away.
I had to check my Saturday Schedule, which is pretty routine as I discussed earlier. I decided to invest my time and head to the conference, even though I had no idea what to expect. This was one of the best decisions I have made in a while. By the end of the morning session I had already met 2 Real Estate Investors, 1 Mortgage Broker, and 1 Real Estate Agent all from my home town.
This one day grew my network by 4 people. I now have an additional 4 people within my city to grow business opportunities with.
Everyday there are opportunities that are presented to us! You have two options for every opportunity. You can Ignore it or you can take Advantage of it.
